Want to take your baked goods to a whole new nutritional level? Just add Hemp Hearts! These versatile little seeds can be a fantastic addition to cookies, breads, muffins, brownies, and even baked oatmeal. Blend with drinks and dressings

Drizzle Hemp Oil
Let’s not forget about the incredible flavor of Hemp Oil! Add a drizzle of this nutty oil to elevate the taste of your favorite recipes.
Storage of Hemp Seeds
To extend the storage life of your Hemp Hearts, it’s best to refrigerate or freeze them. Once opened, a bag of Hemp Hearts can last up to one year in your refrigerator.
Summer Hemp Seed Frittata
Now, let’s dive into a fantastic recipe that combines the goodness of summer produce with two highly bioavailable sources of protein: Hemp Hearts and eggs! This refreshing frittata is perfect for Sunday brunch or a daytime get-together. It’s packed with flavors and textures that will leave your taste buds satisfied.
Ingredients
- 12 eggs
- ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 medium-sized zucchini, thinly sliced
- ½ cup Hemp Hearts + 1 tsp. for sprinkling on top of finished frittata
- 1/4 cup feta cheese
- ½ cup shredded carrot
- ¼ cup sun-dried tomatoes
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- salt + freshly ground pepper to taste
Directions
- Preheat the broiler to high. Brush a baking sheet with ½ tablespoon olive oil and add thinly sliced zucchini. Drizzle with another ½ tablespoon olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Broil until lightly browned, about 2 minutes.
- Lower the oven temperature to 375 degrees F. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, almond milk, Hemp Hearts, shredded carrot, sun-dried tomatoes (reserving a couple to sprinkle on top), salt, and pepper. Stir in feta cheese.
- Pour the egg mixture into a medium-sized ovenproof skillet. Cover the top of the frittata with zucchini slices and sprinkle with the remaining sun-dried tomatoes.
- Place the pan in the oven and cook until the top is golden and the center is set, about 18 minutes.
- Let the frittata cool slightly, sprinkle with the remaining Hemp Hearts, slice into wedges, and serve immediately. Any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
