What You’ll Learn
Theory Series: Laying the Foundation
During the theory series, we cover a wide range of essential topics that form the building blocks of eyelash extensions. From sanitation and rules & regulations to client consultation and pre/post-care, we leave no stone unturned. Our comprehensive handouts complement the theory sessions and ensure a thorough understanding of the concepts. You’ll also dive into the world of glue ingredients, eyelash curls, lengths, and widths, as well as the eyelash extension application process itself.
Hands-On Practice: Mastering the Techniques
Once all your burning questions have been answered, it’s time to put theory into practice. Our students begin their hands-on experience by working on a mannequin head. This allows you to develop your hand-eye coordination and technique in a controlled environment. Through daily practice in our lab, you’ll refine your skills and gain confidence.
The Eyelash Specialty License
The 320-hour Eyelash Specialty License program combines theory and hands-on training to introduce you to the art of creating longer, thicker, and curlier eyelashes. You’ll learn how to expertly apply eyelash extensions that beautifully blend with your client’s natural lashes. This non-invasive procedure offers a customized approach tailored to your clients’ individual preferences. We’ll also explore how eyelash extensions can be used in conjunction with other aesthetic procedures, providing a long-lasting alternative to strip lashes or temporary eyelash tabbing.
Prerequisites for Success
To embark on this exciting journey, there are a few prerequisites that you need to meet:
- High school diploma or equivalent (or currently in your senior year)
- At least 17 years of age
- Successful entrance Interview with our Recruiting Department

Get Ready to Shine
At Dallas Lash Academy, we’re committed to your success. Every student will receive a comprehensive Dallas Lash Academy kit fully stocked with the essentials for starting your career in eyelash extensions. After completing the required practice on the mannequin, you’ll move on to working with live models. Under the guidance of our instructor, you’ll spend 2-3 hours daily perfecting your techniques and learning about client aftercare. The instructor’s valuable feedback will help you increase your speed and ensure top-notch service.
The Certification and Beyond
Upon completion of our intensive two-day, eight-hour course, you’ll be awarded a professional certification of achievement. You’ll also receive a Standard Kit – everything you need to kickstart your journey as a certified technician.
